REPORT ON WOMEN’S DAY ACTIVITES Back
The women’s day was celebrated in FIDES on the 12th of April in a splendid way gathering all around the members of apex body, Board, federation of Halasuru, Kaverinagar and nearby villages. The event was graced upon by auspicious presence of the modern women power Mrs. Susheela Punith, the retired English professor of Mount Carmel College. She is currently translating English books into kannada and gave an inspirational speech on the role of women in family and society. She is also an inspiration by being a mother fostering four girls who reigning with success. The day also was a treat to the eyes with the colorful events. The day was a witness to around 250 women who gathered to celebrate womanhood with pomp and joy. The celebration ended with a small get-together which included snack and tea for all gathered.
