success story of Arputhamary

I am Arputhamary.I was born in a remote village in Tamilnadu. My parents were practicing catholic. My parents are farmers; often they did cooli work to maintain our family of 8 children. I studied in a government school up to 10th class where I failed. I had the fortune of going to the convent of Salesian Sisters in Madras where I completed my tailoring and also appeared for exams of training in Tailoring. All these 4 years of stay with the Salesian sisters I was given free education. Then I returned home but I was sent to mu elder sisters home in 1992. There I met Naga Raj whose wife died leaving 3 children. I agreed to take care of the children, our marriage was registered. My parents did not approve the marriage with the Hindu and I prayed that he may receive Baptism. As a result he was baptized took the name of Navin Raj. He had the debt of Rs.30000 in 1992 and it caused a lot of difficulties. My first child was born in 1993. Navin Raj’s parents didn’t want me to be in their house. So we shifted our house in K. R. Puram. We lived for 18 years. I prayed God to show me a way to improve our life. Our Blessed mother brought FIDES in 2003. I was very happy and ready to do work. I was given the charge of a crèche to look after 40 babies. Sr. Nancy and Sr. Bridget encouraged me to go through the difficult times.

I am very happy now so also my family. My elder girl is doing is doing her B.com and the boy is in 8th standard. Sisters gave me a loan of Rs.50000. My husband has a tailoring shop and it is going well. All the debts were paid; we build a new house and live happily. I enjoy peace and love. All is gratefully attributed to my life in the FIDES and SHG. The sisters timely help their selfless recommendation; loving relationships prayerful life taught me innumerable values of life. I am able to help and share the problems of life of others especially women children for their education, teach the use of prayerful life. Trust in God etc. Back
