STAFF MEETING WITH NEW FIDES MANAGEMENT TEAM Back
The staff meeting on 12 th June was begun with a song invoking the presence of God followed by a message delivered by Sr. Alice indicating the need to destroy the cloud of blindness and darkness in our lives which hinders our performance and success in life and give God the first place. The sisters reminded the staff that they belonged to the great Salesian Family and as such they should be proud and feel honoured. The purpose of this meeting was to get to know better each other and see in what way FIDES can move forward with new initiatives. Sisters asked the group to think of the major problems faced by the people in the locality and our work places which FIDES should address. For this we also need to have a real evaluation of the work done by FIDES during the five years of its existence. The dream Sr. Agnes and the team is to expand the services of FIDES in other areas and help the staff to become more efficient and effective and future of FIDES. The gospel passage wedding at Cana where mother Mary commands the servants to fill the Jar and do what He Says was explained. The points that emerged are: Revival of the SHGs, heal the broken relationships, be more united and work as a family, give sufficient importance to moral and spiritual formation and prayer for the staff, regular evaluation and proper planning. It was decided to have a prayer session on all Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and half a day prayer once a month which would be followed by the planning session The discussion brought out many new ideas for the improvement of FIDES. 1. Sr. Alice proposed to dream about beginning a new project for the migrants in the locality. 2. Writing of the daily chronicle by the staff and submitting it weekly to Sr. Venila 3. Work for creating a fund to meet the expenses of FIDES as we have no income. 4. Completion of proper documentation on Sr. Nancy. 5. Preparation of a museum on Sr. Nancy 6. Work for the achievement of a clean, green and plastic free campus, locality and wherever we are functioning. 7. To have staff improvement programme occasionally. 8. Conduct session on communication skills, relationship, Time Management, English language and prayer experience. 9. Improve publicity and create a wider FIDES impact in society. 10. Introduce leave letter and marking of attendance of the staff.
