GEBE- SCHOLARSHIP VOLUNTEERING ENGAGMENT EVENT

GEBe- Scholarship Volunteering Engagement Event was held on 27 th April
2019 at Auxilium School, Avalahalli. Ms. Jyothi Guptha from United Way
welcomed the Donors from General Electronics, Guests and other participants.
This event was the last concluding programme of General Electronics Student
Support Programme conducted for PUC and Diploma Students from poor
economic back ground since two years. 162 students benefitted from this
programme as they learned a lot through the various talks and sessions
conducted by experts.
Ms. Gupta from ‘United Way’ presented the development, changes and
achievements focussing on the activities initiated by students, social
engagements, their academic performance, extracurricular activities, college
and family visits and fund distribution.
Few students shared their experience and benefits of this scholarship support.
They indicated that the programme was a platform to explore new ideas, learn
new skills, acquire values and even enhance their social responsibility.
Mr. Suresh from GE appreciated the whole team for their hard work in building
up the life of youth and guiding them in proper manner. Fr. Edward from DIN
expressed his gratitude towards all the donors and collaborators in making the
programme a success. Fr. Edward motivated the students to stay focussed and
achieve their goal without getting distracted by the allurements of the world.
The coordinator Mr. Jose Paul along with other supporters shared their
experience during the past two years. He asked the students to be more
responsible and independent and give back something to the society since they
had received supports for their education. Mr. Shiram and Mr. Manoj from GE
shared how they had gone through many struggles without having the
opportunities during their student life.
Mr. Teja a student performed the Beat box in order to entertain the gathering.
This was followed by the felicitation and distribution of prizes to 6 second PUC
topers who got 90 and above 90 percentages. The students who were part of
social engagement programme and those who achieved prizes in extracurricular
activities were also felicitated and given certificates of appreciation.
