FIDES DAY
A long-awaited day filled with happiness and peace in the minds of the people. A great icon
of Fides was born on this day. This day is celebrated as FIDES day On the 14th of August,
2021 around 10:30 in the morning the FIDES celebrated FIDES DAY in the remembrance of
Sr. Nancy on her birthday and whose vocation was to serve the poor.
FIDES has provided a shelter for the homeless and a helping hand to all those in need. FIDES
has expanded to a wide range of services thanks to its generosity, kindness, and humanity
toward co-humans. The celebration was attended by SHG women, youth, and NCP children
from FIDES' working locations. Every program has a cause for being, as well as a story about
how it came to be, what it is now, and how it has been successful.
Everything we are today and everything that is happening around us have a purpose, and it is
all happening because of God's providence. Kaveri Nagar's youth performed a prayer dance.
Following then, each of the guests lighted a candle on the dice and prayed for God's blessing.
Mr. Samuel, staff of FIDES Welcomed everyone.
Sr. Celine Jacob, the provincial of Bangalore province and the program's president, was
overjoyed to see people's progress, and she encouraged everyone to focus on cleanliness in
the surrounding areas, peace among oneself and the community, and ensuring that every child
owns his or her education right by attending school in the coming days.
Mr. Papanna, a social worker and benefactor of FIDES, was the chief guest of the day. He
also recommended that FIDES can take the lead in organizing a gathering for the NGOs in
the surrounding area to present their ideas and perspectives to share the resources for the
common good.
Because of that one soul and heart who had devoted her entire life to the young people, Sr.
Nancy was the driving force behind this great reach and the desire to launch FIDES. MS.
Swapna, an ex-staff member, expressed gratitude to fides, who is the reason for her life
lessons, and life values, and now that she can start her Computer center, and the reason for it
and the foundation was FIDES. MS. Radhamma, a Kaveri-Nagar SHG member, expressed
her gratitude to FIDES for their assistance and guidance throughout their lives.
The village youth enthralled the audience with their brilliant dance performance. MIME was
done by Halasur youth with the major message of interfaith and unity. The program came to a
close with us holding our heads high and singing the national song with pride. The vote of
thanks was proposed by Sr. Sumi Joseph, Director of FIDES. And lunch was delivered to
everyone, and everyone conveyed their love and thanks while maintaining social distance and
ensuring their safety.
