Death anniversary of Sr. Nancy Pereira, the Foundress of FIDES.Back

“I am the resurrection and the life” – said Jesus Christ. On 14th July 2016, the 6th anniversary of the demise of Sr. Nancy Pereira, the Foundress of FIDES, was remembered in the graveyard at Sacred Heart Convent and at Ulsoor community with the presence of people, without the difference of caste, colour, language or religion. The gratitude for the blessings received from Jesus Christ through her was shown on this occasion. The coming together of people for this cause could be explained for the fact that she was a great social worker, an energetic and enthusiastic woman who had a great dream of helping the poor and liberate them from the triple evils of poverty, ignorance and illiteracy. The many graces obtained through her intercession increased the faith of the people in the power of her prayer. Filled with God`s love and love for the suffering human beings, she sacrificed herself to the maximum for their growth and welfare. She remains a source of inspiration for everyone.
