AWARDS

During her life time Sr. Nancy received the following awards in appreciation and recognition of the humanitarian work she had done at the various FIDES centres without discrimination on the basis of caste or creed:

• 1994 – “A Mandir for Peace “ award for her indefatigable work in the service of the oppressed people, during the fourth meeting organized by Shantimandir at Assissi, Italy, ONLUS( a co-ordinating centre for promoting and organizing voluntary services).
• 1998 – Marisa Bellisario Foundation in Milan (Italy) bestowed the “Golden Apple” award on Sr. Nancy for having created the Bank of the Poor.
• 2000 – At Salerno, Italy Fiction Television bestowed on her the “Golden Apple” award for her Missionary Communication.
• 2001 – She recei9ved the “Golden Mimosa” Award at Catania, Italy.
• 2001 - “A Mandir for Peace” award at Assisi a second time.
• 2002 – International award of the Messenger of St. Anthony magazine for her sensational witnessing.
• 2002 – She won a bronze award from the St. Anthony’s International Association.
• 2002 – “Telamon” award at Padua, Italy.
• RAI UNO produced a TV film on Sr. Nancy’s work “A simple Gift” and a documentary “The courage of dignity” .to sensitize the Italians about her goodness of heart and her compassion for the poor.
