Centenary Birthday Celebration of Rev.SR.Nancy Pereira

On 3 rd September 2023, The Centenary Birthday Celebration of Sr. Nancy Pereira, the esteemed founder of FIDES was celebrated at the FIDES hall. It was a momentous occasion filled with heartfelt tributes and vibrant performances. The event was a testament to the lasting impact of Sr. Nancy's legacy and her dedication to serving the community.

The program commenced with a short and poignant prayer service led by Sr. Rani, the Quest Incharge, and Ms. Jonet Archana, setting a spiritual tone for the day.

Mrs. Swapna gracefully hosted the event, guiding the proceedings and ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Mr. Samuel, SHGs Incharge delivered a warm and heartfelt welcome speech, extending greetings to all the distinguished guests, including Mother Provincial Sr. Lucy Rose, Sr. Superior Sherly Joseph, Sr. Sumi Joseph, FIDES Director Sr. Mary Rani, Quest and Youth Incharge, Sr. Alice Chaco as well as the SHGs women from various villages, migrant children, and all participants.

The Hostel Girls captivated the audience with an enchanting welcome dance, marking the beginning of the celebratory activities.

Mother Provincial Sr. Lucy Rose shared words of wisdom, reflecting on Sr. Nancy's life and urging the youth and women to emulate her spirit by giving back to their families and society.

Sr. Alice Chaco shed light on the acronym of FIDES; Family Integral Development and Education Scheme and the profound meaning it holds. She also unveiled the hidden secrets behind Sr. Nancy's success, emphasizing her unwavering love for the less fortunate, selflessness, and active involvement on both national and international fronts.

A symbolic cake cutting ceremony added a touch of festivity, symbolizing a century of Sr. Nancy's remarkable life and her contributions.

The program featured a delightful array of performances, including a mime by migrant children from Ramiah Colony, dances by Quest Students and Ramaiah Colony children, and heartfelt speeches by members of SHGs and village residents sharing their experiences with Sr. Nancy.

The event continued with a spirited dance performance by Kaverinagar Youth and an engaging skit by Cheemasandra migrant children, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the community.

The program culminated with a touching video presentation, chronicling the inspiring journey of Sr. Nancy.Mr.Benedict Roy, Placement Officer at Tech Mahindra, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for making the celebration a resounding success.
