Report On SHG - Post Office Savings Bank A/C
Women empowerment has been the major focus of FIDES; it has always been putting in efforts to raise the living standards of women through education and awareness.

FIDES has been working to tell women regarding awareness on loans, repayment of loans and bank linkages. As a part of it FIDES had organised a session for all the SHG Women on 4 th February 2023.

The Resource person Mr._________ from Virgonagar Post Office had come to spread awareness regarding Post Office Savings Bank A/C.

Firstly he began with the basic info like:

• Who can open an account?
• What is the minimum balance?
• Deposit and withdrawal.
• Interests etc.
• Majorly spoke on the importance of insurance.

He thoroughly explained the pros and cons of Post Office Savings Bank Account. Women came up with number of questions the resource person clarified all the doubts. The session was interactive. There was a good response from the women; most of them came forward to open a bank account.
