Inauguration of the De-addiction centre
On 31 st December 2023, the new centre for De-addiction was inaugurated in the presence of
Mother Provincial Sr Lucy Rose, Superior Sr Sherly Joseph, Chairmen of Shishu Mandir
childcare centre, Dr Hemanth, Member of Panchayath Mr Ramanna, Benefactors, Sisters of
Provincial House, FIDES Staff and the patients of Auxilium Punar Jevan (APJ) were present for
the inaugural ceremony.
The program started with introduction about the day by Sr. Agnes followed by cutting the ribbon
by Mother Provincial Sr Lucy Rose. Ms Shruthi invoked the presence of God amidst the
participants through a dance. Sr Sumi Joseph the Director of FIDES welcomed the gathering
with her worm words. Followed by a talk by Mother Provincial, who spoke about the
commitment of Sr Nancy in upbringing the society. She also appreciated all the individuals
involved in the process of renovating the abandoned building into a beautiful home.
Mr and Mrs Anand the chairmen of shishu mandir spoke about how difficult it is to manage a de-
addiction centre, in spite of all these challenges sisters courageously took forward the mission
started by Sr Nancy the founder of FIDES. They also appreciated the dedication of the people
involved in the uplift of patients coming into the centre.
All the benefactors who helped in renovating the house by the financial and moral support were
thanked by giving a candle as a token of appreciation and gratitude, indicating how they have
become light in the lives of the needy.
All the people who put in the efforts to re-construct the house were given gifts to appreciate their
continued support and hard work.
The program was brought to an end by cutting a cake symbolising the celebration of the new
beginning. Mr Samuel the FIDES staff thanked the gathering for their availability. At the end all
the participants were served snacks and tea.
