Environment day - June 5^th
On 5th June 2022, FIDES organized a program to celebrate World Environment Day. Sr. Lucy Rose the provincial, Sr. Rosy Lopez the directress of CDEW, Sr, Monica superior of the provincial house, along with the youth of the village, MSW students and NCP children along with all the faculty members participated in the program with full enthusiasm.

The program started at 8:00 am. The aim behind organizing this program was to give awareness to the people about keeping the environment clean and safe and to avoid polluting our Mother Earth. For this purpose we need to plant more trees to purify the air and make the earth green. Because the logo of the environment day was “only one earth” The FIDES staff gave a sapling to each youth to plant in the campus.

The guest of the day Sr. Lucy Rose Provincial spoke about the day’s theme and encouraged the youth to take up responsibility in taking care of the mother earth. She also added that we should also motivate others to keep their environment clean& free of pollution so that we can live a healthy life.

This was an engaging and interesting activity. All the youth started planting with the guidance of the Staff. All of them went on rally in and around the nearby village to create awareness and to clean the surroundings. The students promised that they would take care of the campus. It was the gratifying activity we enjoyed most and promised to care for plants and trees in our surroundings.
