Christmas with women and Children-2022
'Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those
who need it the most'.
FIDES had organised Christmas for women and children on 11 th December 2022. The
Honourable Chief Guests were Fr. Shiju Mathew Administrator of Indian Social Institute, Sr.
Maria Rajeshwari Youth councillor of the province and Vice Principal at Auxilium School
and Sr. Sumi Joseph the Directress of FIDES. No program is successful without the
interference of god hence; the program was begun by invoking the presence of god through a
prayer dance by vocational training students and FIDES staff, followed by welcome speech
by Ms. Saraswathi.
After the welcome speech, chief guest Fr. Shiju Mathew spoke about Christmas symbolically.
He enlightened the hearts and minds of the audience by saying the importance of Christmas
and its sole objective. He also said lets spread love, joy and care to the people around us and
to the people who are in need of it. After the wonderful talk by Fr. Shiju the Medical coding
students said the story of the nativity and birth of Jesus Christ by singing the Carols.
After that Quest students expressed their joy and devotion by performing a beautiful dance.
Followed by a Christmas talk by Sr. Maria Rajeshwari, she said Jesus was not only born in a
crib on 25 th December but is also born daily in all hearts that has a place for him to reside.
After this holistic talk by Sr. Maria the last program for the day was an energetic dance
performance by Medical Coding students. After this to bring in the touch of Christmas one of
the staffs dressed as Santa, all the guests enjoyed this act.
The program was concluded by sharing some snacks. After the program some of the SHG
members had prepared food items to sell, all the profits they earned was handed over to the
directress for charity.
