Christmas Celebration 2023

Location: FIDES Hall and Kaverinagar Office
FIDES Trust orchestrated a heart-warming Christmas celebration at FIDES Hall, bringing
together various groups associated with FIDES. The event was graced by the presence of migrant
children, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), medical coding and tailoring students, as well as staff
members. Sr. Superior, Sherly Joseph, Sr. Rosy Lopez, CDEW Director, and other sisters from
the provincial house joined the festive gathering.
The festivities commenced with a warm welcome by MC Swapna, followed by a delightful duet
song performed by Lania, the tailoring teacher, and Swapna, the SHGs apex body leader. The
program continued with an enchanting dance by tailoring students and a Christmas message
shared by Sr. Superior Sherly Joseph, accompanied by a narrated story.
Migrant children showcased a compelling mime, leading into Christmas Wishing songs in
various languages and a lively dance performed by Medical Coding and Billing students. Santa
made a cheerful appearance, spreading joy through dance and sweet distribution. The event
concluded with a gracious vote of thanks delivered by Samuel, the SHGs in -charge, followed by
the distribution of cake pieces to all participants.
After the celebration at FIDES Hall, Sr. Superior Sherly Joseph, Sr. Sumi Joseph, FIDES
Director, and Sr. Mary Rani, Youth In-charge, visited Kaverinagar village. There, they attended
a modest Christmas celebration organized by Kaverinagar SHGs at FIDES's o Office. Sr.
Superior Sr. Sherly delivered a heartfelt Christmas message, and tokens of love were extended to
the three sisters. The program was further adorned with a lively dance by children and the joyful
appearance of Santa, adding a touch of merriment to the festivities.
After the Christmas celebration, Youth meeting was held as well in the presence of Sr. Mary
Rani, Youth In- charge along with ten participants. The meeting was held at FIDES’s Office in
Kaverinagar. The point of discussion was of active participation from the youth, what are some
of the challenges to bring in the youth and so on.
