CDEW-Avalahalli organized Certification day and alumni meet 2022 for the
alumni batches of 10, 11, 12 & 13 on 27 th February 2022. The guests of the day
were ex-chairperson of Child Welfare Committee Sr. Lizy Abraham, Mr.
Manohar- Professor at Christ College, and Sr. Florence.
The program started with an introduction for the day, by Mr. Afroz Khan
Student of batch 13, and followed by the invocation of God by a prayer dance
by Ms. Saraswathi and Ms. Priyanka. The day was inaugurated by lighting of
the lamp by the dignitaries and the alumni. All were given warm welcome by
Mrs. Swapna.
The Chief Guest of the day Sr. Lizy Abraham addressed the alumni by her
inaugural message saying “The time is precious, which plays a significant role
in everyone’s life. We all are aware of the proverb that is; “Time and Tide wait
for none.” No one can discontinue the flow of time. Once the time is gone, it
never comes back. So, it is vital to respect time and consume it wisely.
Moreover, time is more appreciated than money. It is because we can earn
money in any scope of life, but it’s impossible to make time back. The guest
concluded her remarks with a short inspirational narrative.
Sr. Florence FMA in her message made the alumni understand that “Everyone
desire to be famous, but very few works hard for it. Through a story she made
everyone realize that hard work makes a person successful.
The same movement Mr. Manoj one of the guests made everyone reflect on the
importance of hard skills and soft skills. Hard skills are related to specific
technical knowledge and training, while soft skills are personality traits such as
leadership, communication, or time management. Both types of skills are
necessary to perform successfully and advance in most of the jobs. The key
differences between hard skills and soft skills are how they are gained and put
into practice at the workplace.
The best inspiring and heart-touching event was sharing the experience of 4
alumni both in the classroom and in the workplace one from every batch was
unforgettable. All shared that they were happy and grateful for the opportunity
received and proud to be alumni of CDEW Avalahalli. Ms. Joshna who is
pursuing nursing, Ms.Shravani pursuing engineering, Mr. Princeton working as
an employee at Coffee day, and the present student Mr.Dominic who is looking
for a job. It was a proud moment for all the facilitators.
The best outgoing student was honored for the 100% in attendance and 100% in
the academics quest app completion. Program followed by distributing the
Certificate of the course.
The day concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms.
Saraswathi, a Photo Session, and having snacks together.
