Women's Day 2025

On March 23rd, 2025, FIDES hosted International Women's Day celebration at FIDES Hall, bringing together over 300 women from Village, Kaverinagar, and Ulsoor. The event was a vibrant tribute to women's empowerment, achievements, and contributions to society.

The program commenced with a soulful prayer dance by FIDES staff, setting a spiritual tone for the celebration. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over darkness and ignorance. The dignitaries, including the chief guest, Mrs. Sumathi Irudayaraj Program Manager-Corporate Relations at ADD India, and esteemed guests Sr. Sherly Joseph Superior of the Provincial House, Sr. Sheela Jacob Director of CDEW Society, and Sr. Jacintha Lobo Lawyer and a dedicated teacher, graced the occasion with their presence.

Mr. Samuel FIDES Staff presented a report on the activities, programs, and achievements of FIDES, highlighting their commitment to empowering women and marginalized communities.

The chief guest, Mrs. Sumathi Irudayaraj, delivered an inspiring talk, emphasizing the vital role women play as role models in society. She encouraged women to embrace their strengths, overcome challenges, and strive for excellence in their personal and professional lives.

The audience was treated to a series of energetic performances, including: A vibrant Kolata dance by Kaverinagar SHG women, showcasing their rich cultural heritage. A mesmerizing dance performance by Ulsoor SHG, highlighting their talent and creativity. A final dance by Kaverinagar ladies and girls, with great enthusiasm and energy.

Sr. Jacintha Lobo shared her thoughts on women's patience, perseverance, and contributions to society, emphasizing their importance in shaping families, communities, and nations.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Swapna, a long- time FIDES volunteer, and the National Anthem. As a token of appreciation, a delicious lunch was served to all attendees, courtesy of Sr. Sheela Jacob, Director of CDEW Society.

The event was a resounding success, leaving everyone in high spirits to continue working towards women's empowerment and social change.
